What We Do
CollegeEase is a virtual college consultant that simplifies the college application process and helps students get into their best-fit college. It streamlines everything from college selection to essay writing and manages the whole process with timely notifications and expert “how-to” videos.
It can be used with or without a college advisor. Unlike college consultants and guidance counselors, it offers a simple way to see everything that needs to get done in one place, notifies the student when to complete each item and guides them through each task based on best practices from top college experts. And it's available 24/7 - anytime the student needs help.

Applications from all over the globe are pouring in thanks to the quality of US colleges. And here's the kicker - the acceptance rates? Dropping like a rock. They've tanked almost half in just a decade amongst the Ivies, for example. And as if that's not enough, the whole application process? It's a maze. There are countless books on the topic. So, here's the question: Should we really expect a teenager to figure all this out on their own? Doesn't quite add up, does it?
And that's where private college consultants come in, charging $5K-$10K for their expertise. An option far out of reach for most families.

Our Story
Going through the college application process with our two kids was tough. It's complicated and students have to figure it out a lot on their own. Even though our kids went to one of the best high schools in the country, the counselors weren't around much to help. They're super busy, expected to juggle countless students with very little time to spend on college stuff. It turns out the typical counselor has to support 400+ students and only spends 1-2 hours per student a year.
We heard hiring a college consultant could help, so we did a bunch of research and interviewed tons of people. After talking to over twenty of the best consultants in the US, we hired two for our kids. But, turns out, even the best are only strong in a couple of areas and weak in the rest. And they're busy. They make more money by helping lots of students for less time.
Even the best consultants didn't cover everything our kids needed. So, we made our own tools to help them out. Our kids ended up relying on our system more than their consultants. And they got into their top-choice schools. When we talked about our experience, we found out lots of other people had the same issues. So, having founded a number of successful software companies, we decided to use our engineering and product development skills to make something better. Much better.
We interviewed all of the top consultants in the business and consumed every book on the subject. We evaluated every college tool on the internet and read virtually every blog. Then we brought together one of the best development teams on the planet. By the end we had created a system that is like having 50 of the most knowledgeable college consultants on call 24/7.
